Lincoln and the surrounding area has many tourist attractions to visit for the day or a weekend, you will always have something to do. The Lincoln area offers a wide range of outdoor activities including; fishing, golf and touring the fens.

The City of Lincoln is dominated by its magnificent 11th-century Cathedral, standing on top of Lincoln edge. Although having a superb heritage to preserve, Lincoln today is a thriving progressive city, with its more recent additions, such as the University building, attracting ever greater numbers of young people, which have given the city fresh vitality.

Dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, the impressive Lincoln Cathedral (officially the Cathedral Church of St. Mary in Lincoln) dominates Lincoln’s skyline and can be seen from 30 miles away. Its 271-foot central tower is the second tallest in England.

The Guildhall Museum in South Street dates back to 1450, when it was built as a hall for the Guild of St Mary. In 1546, the Guildhall became the Town Hall for the newly formed Corporation of Boston. It housed both the prison and the Courtroom as well as the Council Chambers . Boston’s most famous ‘prisoners’ were the Pilgrim Fathers who were arrested and tried in 1607 before eventually escaping to Holland and then on to Massachusetts, where they became the Governors of the new town of Boston. Visitors can see the very cells in which they were imprisoned and imagine what those Puritan founders of the modern USA must have felt!

Boston not only has the tallest church tower, but also the tallest working windmill! Maud Foster Mill, built in 1819 is still used to ground flour and it is open to the public three days a week (extra day during the summer ). There are remarkable views of Boston from the mill tower. Visitors can enjoy homemade cakes and vegetarian dishes in the mill tea rooms.

Our bed and breakfast accommodation is situated south west of Lincoln and offers value for money accommodation at a lower cost than most city center accommodations of the same quality.
